De haai is de definitieve bespeelbaar personage, een kunstmatige vis gemaakt door wetenschappers te slaan aardse oceanen. Smakelijke Blue beschikt over meer dan 50 niveaus in de belangrijkste story mode van het spel. Er zijn ook 15 meer uitdagende bonus levels te spelen nadat de belangrijkste wedstrijd is voltooid. De niveaus zijn verspreid over drie uiteenlopende omgevingen in het spel: arctic, gematigde en tropische.
